What OASIS is

Overall Assistance for Startup Immigration System (OASIS) is a program operated by Korea Institute for Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) designated by the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Small and Medium Venture Businesses.

Not only will you get a chance to learn the basics of entrepreneurship and running business in Korea, but you’ll also be matched with mentors and experts who will guide you through the process and beyond.

OASIS provides both start-up support and start-up visa (D-8-4) and trade visa (D-9-1)to those foreigners with business ideas and technology, who decide to launch business in Korea.

Hyunjung Kim

"Hello! Nice to e-meet you! I'm Jay Kim, originally from Korea but having lived in various countries, I truly understand the experience of being a foreigner in Korea.
My professional journey began as a Textile Merchandiser in my twenties. Over time, I ventured into running import-export businesses in Africa and India. Additionally, I had the opportunity to sell educational technology products in Singapore. For several years, I passionately hustled in India, leading a social entrepreneurship company. Currently, I am based in Busan, where I am actively involved in building a startup accelerator and fostering the local ecosystem.
My diverse experiences have shaped me into an adaptable and resourceful individual. I am driven by a vision of creating a better future, which motivates me to continue hustling and making a positive impact.

Combining experience in high tech and telecommunications, knowledge in Korean and corporate cultures and the enthusiasm of a forever-young socialpreneur.

- In-depth knowledge and 'feeling' for Korean business culture (advanced language proficiency)
